DEFINITION: Lexicon, Lexical

Lexical is an adjective to denote something related to the words or vocabulary of a language, lying within the boundaries of the universe in which a certain set of words pertain to.

In Linguistics, the Lexicon of a language is its vocabulary, including its words and expressions.

Considering a speaker's mind, when the speaker is about to speak, the mental activity performed to select the words and make up sentences, keeping together words pertaining to the same vocabulary, represents the work on a given lexicon, whether English or another language.
